Welcome to Leyburn School's website

Welcome to Leyburn Primary School's website.

Inspired to be the best that we can be!

Leyburn Primary Schoolvalues  being at the heart of the  local  community. We believe inworking and learning together to developallaspects of the child, giving them the skills tobeconfident young people, so that they are able to play an active role as adults inmodern society.Children are trusted andgiven the freedom to learn within the boundaries of what is expected from them. We aimto providethe bestacademic, social, moral, spiritual and cultural educationpossible and we expect all involved with the school to contribute to this.

In May 2017, Leyburn chose to convert to an academy, joining the multi academy trust YCAT (Yorkshire Collaborative Academy Trust) which includes Askwith Primary School, Bilton Grange Primary School, Hawes Primary School and Lothersdale Primary School. As a MAT, the five schools believe in the principles of collaborative practice in the school-led system as the most effective way to raise achievement and foster life-long learning for children and adults.

September 2018

We would like to welcome you to Leyburn Primary School's website.  We try to provide a stimulating learning environment for the children of the local community and we hope that all of the pupils will feel valued, happy, safe and secure during their time at this school while they work hard to realise their full potential and feel more than ready to move on to secondary school.

We hope that you find this website useful but if you would like any more information, have any questions or would like to look around the school, please contact the school office.

Yours sincerely,

Mrs S Beveridge

Head Teacher
